The guide builds on top of the foundations laid in Beginner’s Guide. If you haven’t read through it, make sure to give it a look-over.

There are 2 types of battle modes:
To encounter a Vera, you have to explore Floki Island and search for encounter areas. Once you find one and are standing inside of it, you’re likely to encounter a Vera any second. When you do, you will receive a notification at the right side of the screen. If accepted, a Vera Encounter battle will ensue.

TIP: Each Vera gains diminishing EXP from PvE wins based on how many they've earned that day. Ranked PvP always grants full, unlimited EXP.

A Vera Encounter has been found.
To start a PvP battle, you have to use an obelisk somewhere on the Floki Island to travel to the Combat HUB. There, first draft Vera that you want to take into battle (see Draft Phase section), after that you can select a game mode, which will queue you up. Once an opponent is found, both will have to accept (or deny) in a specific time frame. If both you and the opponent accept, you will soon be transported to the battle arena.
Game Mode Selection
Once in a Vera Encounter (in the Combat HUB), all Veras in your inventory will be standing on tiles outside the main battle arena. By interacting with the Veras, you can see more information about them, place them in battle arena to take into battle. This is also the chance to allocate any new stat points and learn any new abilities, if prompted to do so. If the battle is against a Wild Vera, you will also see the Vera you will be fighting against you standing on the opposing side of the battlefield.
